CONTEST Singing (senior female group). Asianet Europe Talent Contest
2009 was the 7th Annual Contest Held in ILFORD TOWN HALL, ESSEX,LONDON
forall the Malayalees in Europe. Miss Ashitta Won the
award Among the five contestents who were Selected for this Show by a
Panel of Judges during the Audition. Prize Distribution was by the Chief
Guest GOPIKA (Best Actress Award winner of year 2009)She is daughter of Mr
Xavier D'Silva who is the President of KERALA CATHOLIC
ASSOCIATION,SUNDERLAND and Mrs Treesa Xavier staff Nurse in Sunderland
Royal Hospital.She is a Student in ST.ANTONY'S
Catholic School,sunderland and also an Active Member of ST.JOSEPH's R C

Alphonsa, you have been graciously chosen from our midst to be united with
Jesus Christ, our Savoir, in the misery of his passion, death and
resurrection. You have grown to the heights of holiness and have been
crowned with heavenly glory.
Help us in
our trials and tribulations. Oh! Daughter of sufferings, obtain for us the

the will of God. Be with us, transforming all our sorrows in to a holy

Cunningham appointed Bishop of
Hexham and Newcastle
At a
press conference held at St Mary's
Cathedral on Friday, 9th January, at
11am, it was announced that Pope
Benedict XVI has appointed Canon
Seamus Cunningham to become the 13th
Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle.
