The Newcastle Kerala Catholic Association (NKCA) held a family gathering to commemorate the St Thomas Day which falls on the 6th of July. The gathering which turned out to be a grand event was held at English Martyrs Church Hall Newcastle from 11am to 3pm .

The event was graced by Chief Guest Bishop of Thrissur Diocese Mar Jacob Thunkuzhi. NKCA president Mr. Biju Mathew welcomed the invitees and the esteemed guests and Mr Paulson John also gave a talk .

This was Followed by the Chief Guest's Message Bishop Mar Jacob Thunkuzhi Stressed on the Importance of Nurturing our Syro Malabar Faith and Grooming today's children to follow Cultural and Moral values. The meeting ended with the vote of Thanks by NKCA vice-president Mrs Treesa Mathew. The meeting session by followed by a short dance program and a sumptuous dinner.
